Химические, физические или биологические факторы, способные вызывать образование и размножение злокачественных клеток, разнообразны как с точки зрения активности, так и механизмов действия, что приводит к сложности оценки риска развития злокачественных новообразований. Генотоксические канцерогены индуцируют канцерогенез за счет непосредственного изменения генетического материала в клетках. Информации о механизмах действия негенотоксических канцерогенов все еще недостаточно, несмотря на широкие исследования в этой области.</p></sec><sec><title>Цель работы</title><p>Цель работы. Обсуждение классификации канцерогенов, основанной на их способности взаимодействовать с ДНК клетки, и возможных механизмов генетического контроля процессов канцерогенеза, индуцированных негенотоксическими канцерогенами.</p><p>В статье обращается внимание на некоторые дискуссионные моменты, связанные с отнесением факторов, действующих на организм, к генотоксическим или негенотоксическим канцерогенам. Приведена терминология, используемая в литературе для описания генотоксических (мутагенных) и канцерогенных факторов. Обсуждаются механизмы действия негенотоксических канцерогенов. Отмечается важная роль экспертов, определяющих опасность для здоровья населения факторов, обладающих потенциальной генотоксичностью и канцерогенностью. </p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Негенотоксические канцерогены способны индуцировать злокачественный рост посредством механизмов, не связанных с прямым повреждением генетических структур в клетке. Однако реализация канцерогенных эффектов, вызываемых такими факторами, определяется разнообразными механизмами генетического контроля. </p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. Chemical, physical or biological factors that can cause the formation and expansion of cancer cells are diverse in terms of both activity and mechanisms of action, which leads to the complexity of assessing the risk of developing malignant neoplasms.</p></sec><sec><title>The aim</title><p>The aim. Discussion of the carcinogene classification based on their ability to interact with cell DNA and possible mechanisms of genetic control of carcinogenesis processes induced by non-genotoxic carcinogens.</p><p>The article draws attention to some controversial points related to the attribution of factors affecting an organism to genotoxic or non-genotoxic carcinogens. The terminology used in the literature to describe genotoxic (mutagenic) and carcinogenic factors is presented. The mechanisms of action of non-genotoxic carcinogens are discussed. The important role of experts determining the hazard to public health of factors with potential genotoxicity and carcinogenicity is noted.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. Non-genotoxic carcinogens are capable of inducing malignant growth through mechanisms not associated with direct damage to genetic structures in the cell.
