Khalidia Khizbulaevna Khamidulina

Khalidia Khizbulaevna Khamidulina was born in Moscow in a family of workers. After graduating from the First Moscow Medical Institute named after I.M. Sechenov she was assigned to the Department of Occupational Hygiene, where in 1988 she defended her PhD thesis on the “Occupational health and industrial toxicology when working with Rubidium compounds”.

1992 Kh.Kh. Khamidulina was invited to work in the Russian Register of Potentially Hazardous Chemical and Biological Substances and went from the Head of the Information and Analytical Department to Director.

Since July 21, 2009 she heads the Russian Register of Potentially Hazardous Chemical and Biological Substances of the Rospotrebnadzor.

Khalidia Khizbulaevna is doing a great deal of work to maintain and improve the Federal Register of Potentially Hazardous Chemical and Biological Substances, the automated distributed information retrieval system (ARIPS) “Hazardous Substances”. The scientific justification of the concept of state registration of potentially hazardous chemical and biological substances and the creation of ARIPS “Hazardous Substances” formed the basis of her Doctoral thesis on the “Scientific basis of optimization of information support for hygienic regulation of chemicals in the human environment”.

Since 1996, Kh.Kh. Khamidulina is teaching, since 2013 she is the Head of the Department of Hygiene of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education of the RF Ministry of Health.

Professor Khamidulina is active in social and scientific work. She is the Editor in Chief of the journal “Toxicological Review”, a member of the editorial board of the journal “Health Risk Analysis”, a member of the American Toxicology Society, the Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization of Toxicologists, a member of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Regulation Committee, a member of the Scientific Board of Rospotrebnadzor, author and reviewer of Hygienic Standards, SanPin, SP, GOST, more than 200 published scientific works, an organizer and active participant of the Russian and International scientific and practical events, a participant of round tables of media formats.

Since 2009, Kh.Kh. Khamidulina is a regular participant in the working commissions of the Rotterdam, Stockholm and Basel Conventions, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

In 2017 under the leadership of Kh.Kh. Khamidulina the Russian Register of Potentially Hazardous Chemical and Biological Substances has been approved by the Federal Accreditation Service of the Russian Federation as the “Inspection Authority” that made it possible to reach a new level of modern requirements for the toxicological and hygienic assessment of chemicals and mixtures.

Kh.Kh. Khamidulina has been awarded the “90 Years of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia” commemorative medal by Rospotrebnadzor in 2013 and the “95 Years of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia” commemorative medal in 2017.
